HOW TO WEAR TRENDS IN THE WORKPLACE
#1 Always have a classic black blazer in your wardrobe to pair with your day to day looks. Look out for special details and textures and hone in on the current trends, whether that be embroidery, lace or gold statement buttons.
#2 Pant length is another element you can play with to change up your look. These culottes are high-waisted with a gold detailed tie belt to show off your waist and allow the soft fabric to flow over the tummy and thighs.

TREND ALERT: PLEATED SKIRT
#1 Don’t think you can pull off a pleather skirt? This skirt is a matte finish so it’s subtle in its allure. I’ve paired it with a printed shirt and white denim jacket for a slightly more casual look. The skirt begins at the top of the waist to help give my body a curvy hourglass shape while again flowing over the tummy and thighs, finishing just below the knee.
#2 This super cute shirt from Sorbet has illustrations all over the front but with a black and white vertical stripe pattern on the back that could help disguise anything that one could feel insecure about.
City Chic Pleather pleat skirt was $89.95 now $40, Sorbet Threadz print shirt $79.95, Sorbet Threadz lace up jacket $119.95, Betts Airflex Charlize shoe was $129.95 now $69.99, Jacqui E Tassel necklace was $34.95 now $19.95

#1 As a curvier woman, I’ve never really found a well fitting puffer jacket that isn’t too short or that doesn’t make me look like a marshmallow. This jacket however has changed my mind. The long line shape is what caught my eye as this can provide a slimming effect because it finishes below the widest part of the body. The vertical stripe also allows eyes to move from top to bottom instead of from one side of the body to the other, slimming down the hips and mid section.
#2 I have paired the jacket with a khaki long sleeve top and these textured black skinny leg pants. The pants felt similar to a stretch bengaline pant but with the added texture and detail on the front. I felt super comfortable and confident, not worried about my upper thighs showing through like most leggings or slim leg pants.
#1 Wearing white can be a hard for curvy/plus size women because people often think it doesn’t suit them or it accentuates all the wrong features. It’s all about the cut, fit and shape. I’ve worn a white peplum style long sleeve blouse from City Chic. This top has a V neck front to slim down my broad shoulder. The right bra and underwear is also important when wearing white and this multiway white bra from City Chic was perfect for this top as it gave me enough lift and shape to allow the blouse to sit properly and to create the curve I was looking for.
#2 These jeans were my on-trend piece for this outfit with embroidery and embellishment being seen everywhere at the moment. The embellished blue roses give the jeans a playful but luxurious feel to them while still being subtle enough to be a versatile piece in the wardrobe.
